What Birthday Girls Do

This is what birthday girls do. Or at least this is what I did this past Thursday when I was a birthday girl...

Birthday girls go to Founding Farmers for a birthday breakfast.

Birthday girls pour milk into their coffee with a cool little metal "carton."

Birthday girls enjoy said coffee with the cute guy sitting across the table.

Birthday girls order eggs benedict. It's delicious. Birthday girls are not responsible for the plate of abnormally thick bacon, which also happens to be delicious. That cute guy ordered the monster bacon.

Birthday girls go home after breakfast and put on their comfy pants. It's just the right thing to do. And then they open cards and presents!

Birthday girls receive super-duper-awesome rainbow pens from that cute guy, to be used for journaling and all sorts of artistic adventures. Birthday girls love the new, shiny pens so much that they take multiple pictures. Check out these beauties...

Ooooo....

Ahhhh!!!

Birthday girls watch a mediocre chick flick, and feel lucky that the cute guy is the type of guy who is willing to watch it with them.

Birthday girls paint their toenails a brand new color. Diamond strength! Birthday girls don't really know if "diamond strength" actually guarantees anything, but it sounds pretty good.

Birthday girls eat a little birthday Ben & Jerry's. Just like putting on comfy pants, this is the right thing to do.

Birthday girls go for a crazy long run on Saturday morning, and are therefore able to justify going out for a belated birthday dinner at Red Robin. Look! There's that cute guy again! Red Robin may be the birthday dinner locale preferred by most 10-year-olds, but birthday girls don't care one tiny bit. Red Robin is great. And french fries taste amazing, whether you're 10 or 28, right? Right.

Birthday girls say thanks again to all those who sent love and birthday wishes this past week! Hugs to you!

So, I saw Erin use the Anonymous route, so I am going to see if it works for me. I haven't been able to successfully comment on your blog lately. I have enjoyed all the new posts! Good luck with the running thing. I admire you for that. The shoulder devil wins every time around here. Your birthday looked lovely!
